The 3 Cs : Collaboration. Compliance. Centralization.

Updated: Sep 7, 2021

Another year, another focus; here’s why we think Collaboration, Compliance, and Centralization are worth giving their own letter. Join us in Chicago and Boston next month to take the discussion further!

Collaboration: It’s no secret that collaborative work is becoming increasingly important in content management. Why send a document through a lengthy 10-stage approval process, when you could have 10 people working simultaneously on the same document? Every serious content management system today integrates collaborative tools to streamline the creation, review and approval process. We provide a number of different native and integrated solutions that allow for collaborative work right within the CARA user interface, ensuring continuity with whatever else you may be working on side-by-side. The traditional concern with Collaboration is rooted in another of our Cs: Compliance. For industries with strong regulatory oversight, the company needs to ensure that changes to the document can be tracked and accounted for. With automatic audit-trail recording and report generation in CARA, tracking collaborative changes to a document is now as secure and responsible as a workflow or task, but exponentially more efficient.

Compliance: Compliance is everything to large companies with high industry, regulatory, or corporate standards. Everything we do in CARA is designed to increase speed and efficiency while totally eliminating compliance worries. It’s possible to point out how pretty much every feature in CARA is honed to this effect, but lets start at the top. When you log in to CARA, you enter the system with your own unique personal login details – these are imprinted on every interaction with a document from that moment onwards. For the micro-managing administrator, it is possible to see who touched every document since the beginning of time, as well as when and where. This continuous audit trail creation extends to everything: compiling submissions, emailing documents to colleagues, generating and compiling PDFs, and even individual time spent within the system. Another massively important part of compliance in CARA is granulated security: by this we mean that you’re not limited to 2 or 3 types of user (Admin, Power User, End User, for example), but you can create as many different types of user as you want, each with unique permissions and access. Even giving an external user access to your system no longer needs to be a security risk – this can be set up in minutes, and guarantees complete peace of mind.

Centralization: The last of our Cs might seem vague, but can radically adjust the efficiency of a content management system. Just as we stressed the importance of having collaboration tools integrated directly into the CARA user interface, we believe that all processes relating to your content management should take place within the same screen; leaving to go to other systems and switch between with content migrations wastes time and money. But perhaps it seems that’s more easily said than done – we understand that centralization is a process, which is why CARA can interact with any other system using JSP/HTML, DQL, API, RESTful Web Services, Javascript, or server methods, and pull that data or content directly into the CARA user interface. You can literally create a portal within CARA itself to your other systems. This seamless integration allows a company to use multiple systems without sacrificing the speed and efficiency of centralization.

Join us in Chicago on February 4th, and in Boston on February 5th with our partners Adlib and CourtSquare to continue this discussion and learn more about the 3 Cs.
